Five years onA beautiful place  Full of beautiful children  Going about their lives.   
And then on this day  Five years ago  All that came to an end.   
In a few short hours  That beautiful place  Became a fiery hell.   
In a few short hours  Those beautiful children  Were either dead or orphaned.   
And now five years on  From that horrible day  The soldiers still remain.   
Their very presence laughs  In the face of the freedom  They said they would bring.

Hiding, Running.We’ve not spoken for a while,  I’ve been staying out of the way,  Forever hiding,  Forever running,  But its not you I don’t wish to see.   
It doesn’t work you know,  I know it never will.  All the hiding,  All the running,  You see its not you I’m hiding from.   
She always knows where I am,  The one I can’t confront,  Neither hiding  Nor running  Will save me from myself.   
And in the end I know  There’s only one thing I can do;  Stop running,  Stop hiding  And face up to my problems. Hiding, Running.

It has been exactly a year and one day since I last posted a journal entry so I thought I'd just give a little update as to what I'm up to...

I'm in my final year of sixth form studying biology, chemistry and psychology. Next year I'm going to be studying occupational therapy at university, probably Liverpool uni but it may be Salford... I've got offers from both but I've yet to decide between them for definate.

As for my poetry... well you'll have noticed that I've been writing much less than I used to. There's no real reason for this other than perhaps not having as much time to sit around musing on life as much as I used to. Also, because I've not been coming on dA as much to submit deviations it also means I've not been looking at or commenting other people's work as much as I should and i apologise for that.

I have a couple of poems that I might submit but they're at home and I can't remember them offhand so I may come back on later today and post them... or maybe I'll disapeat for another month or so... who knows... and quite frankly, who cares? lol
