For one moment of pleasure,
One moment of bliss,
One moment of love
And one moment of heaven.

For that moment you shared,
That moment you gave,
That moment you had
And that moment you took.

For that one moment
A punishment was given,
Not to you or to him
But to one who’s yet to live.

For that one moment
You sentenced the unborn,
To the worst punishment of all,
The punishment of life.

For that one moment
You set him or her to live,
A long series of moments
In this world known as hell.

For some of these moments
It would seem that life’s worth living,
But some moments are a longing
For the final curtain call.

And when that moment comes,
The victim’s last escape,
You’ll know you gave them life
And so, you also gave them death.
